Kindergarten
Grade Level Goals
:

If we teach letter names and sounds (RFK.3) for 6 weeks, it will impact student growth by increasing their ability of letter names and sounds of both upper and lower case letters by 8 and/or increasing reading of Read Well pattern words by five words using Read Well and classroom based assessments, which will result in most/all students meeting benchmark on common assessments by October 31st, 2016.

First Grade
Grade Level Goals:

SMART Goal #1 Literacy:

If we teach RF1.4b Read on-level text orally with accuracy, appropriate rate, and expression on successive readings with fidelity, it will impact all first graders which will result in nearly all students meeting benchmark on weekly Read Well assessments in their differentiated reading groups and/or DIBELS Nonsense Word Fluency assessments.

SMART Goal November Literacy:

If we teach RF1.4b Read on-level text orally with accuracy, appropriate rate, and expression on successive readings with fidelity for 8 weeks, it will impact all first graders which will result in nearly all students 5 Strong Passes (no more than 1 error on 5 out of 8 tests) on weekly Read Well assessments in their differentiated reading groups and/or DIBELS Nonsense Word Fluency assessments.

SMART Goal #2 Literacy:

If we teach RF 1.3g Recognize and read grade-appropriate irregularly spelled words with fidelity, it will impact all first graders by supporting the above goal and year end results will be nearly all students meeting benchmark on regularly administered Read Well, DIBELS, and FRY word assessments.

Second Grade
Grade Level Goals:
Grade/class/subgroup level goal:  Reading Fluency, 2nd grade, Subgroups are Intensive and Strategic students (17 students).

If we teach Reading Fluency (RF 2.4b) for 6 weeks, it will impact our intensive and strategic students not meeting the end of term 1 standard of 52 wpm which will result in 5/17 or 29% of students meeting benchmark on a common assessment (DIBELS).

Third Grade
Grade Level Goals:

If we teach reading with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension (standard) for 6 weeks, it will impact most students (cluster) which will result in 80 % of students meeting benchmark on a common assessment by October 24th, 2016 (date).

November Goal:
If we teach reading with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension (standard) for 6 weeks, it will impact most students (cluster) which will result in 80 % of students meeting benchmark on a common assessment by December 16th, 2016 (date).

Fourth Grade
Grade Level Goals
:

If we teach 4.RF.4 – Fluency (standard) for 6 weeks, it will impact most 4th graders (cluster) which will result in 80% of students meeting benchmark on a common assessment by November 4, 2016.

Fifth Grade
Grade Level Goals
:

If we teach ELA 5.4 determining or clarifying the meaning of unknown and multiple-meaning words and phrases based on grade 5 reading and content, choosing flexibly from a range of strategies (standard) for 6 weeks, it will impact approaching level students (cluster) which will result in 80% of students meeting benchmark on a common assessment by November 21, 2016.

Sixth Grade
Grade Level Goals:

Math Goals

Kindergarten
Grade Level Goals:

If we teach 1 to 1 correspondence to 20 (Math.K.CC.4) for 6 weeks, it will impact all students positively,  which will result in all or most

students meeting benchmark on a common assessment by October 31.

First Grade
Grade Level Goals:

SMART Goal #1 Math:
If we teach “CCS  1.OA.6: Fluently add within 10 and use strategies to add within 20” with fidelity about half will meet trimester benchmarks and nearly all will pass year-end Puyallup School District timed addition fact fluency with 80% accuracy.

SMART Goal November Math:
If we teach “CCS  1.OA.6: Fluently add within 10 and use strategies to add within 20” with fidelity for 8 weeks, about 55% will meet trimester benchmarks of 20 correct and by the end of the year nearly all will pass year-end Puyallup School District timed addition fact fluency with 80% accuracy.

SMART Goal #2 Math:
If we teach “CCS 1.OA.C6  Fluently subtract within 10 and use strategies to subtract within 20” with fidelity about half of students will meet trimester benchmarks and nearly all will pass year-end district timed subtraction fact fluency with 80% accuracy.

SMART Goal November Math:
If we teach “CCS 1.OA.C6  Fluently subtract within 10 and use strategies to subtract within 20” with fidelity for 8 weeks, about 40% of students will meet trimester benchmarks of 20 correct and most will pass year-end district timed subtraction fact fluency with 80% accuracy.

Second Grade
Grade Level Goals
:

*** This goal is for our own homeroom class***  We will begin switching students in January.

If we teach fluently adding within 20 using mental strategies 2A.B2 (standard) for 6 weeks, it will impact students not meeting the standard of 20 correct problems in 2 minutes (cluster) which will result in 70% (62 students) of students meeting benchmark on a common assessment using Rocket Math 2 minute addition timings.

Third Grade
Grade Level Goals:
